Terms and Conditions of Sale
Nothing contained within these terms and conditions affect your statutory right as a consumer.

Payment and Pricing:
We accept payment by Visa, Delta, Mastercard, and Switch cards. All card transactions are carried out on our behalf via Paypal. When you pay by card, you will be re-directed to Paypal’s secure website before you enter any card details. We treat security with the utmost of importance.

Delivery of Wedding Cakes

Delivery of wedding cakes is normally made the day prior to the wedding. Tariffs are available by contacting the shop. We do not deliver celebration cakes outside Scotland ( Delivery charges do apply for Scotland, please contact the shop on 01698 327075 for tariffs)

Cancelling and Returning an Order:
Cancellation of wedding cakes must be made in writing as least 90 days before the wedding. If less than 90 days of payment in full will be required.

All deposits are non-refundable or transferable.

Stock:
All goods remain the property of Special Days Cakes until payment is made in full.
Please note that all products and descriptions are accurate at the time of publishing, however, there may be very rare occasions where items are out of stock. In this case, we reserve the right to replace items with those of similar or higher value if for any reason any stock is unavailable at the delivery time required. We will endeavour to colour match any ribbons or icing colours to samples provided by the customer however in some cases exact matches are impossible therefore we will match as near to the sample as possible i.e cerise pink, fuchsia pink is impossible to match with icing and buttercream, therefore, the closest match is deep pink. This includes tartan ribbons. We reserve the right to do this without consultation.

All of our ingredients are of the highest quality, our products may contain nuts as marzipan is used on the premises.

We reserve the right to change any chocolate, lemon or sponge tiers to fruit cake, an additional replacement sponge or the chocolate cake will be sent with your cake at no extra charge for this service.

Our chocolate, carrot and sponge cakes carry a 7-day shelf life as they contain no preservatives, however, if not stored in a refrigerator their shelf life is shortened. Our fruit cakes last considerably longer.

We reserve the right to do this without consultation

Some products carry age warnings regarding suitability for children under 36 months. It is the recipient’s responsibility to adhere to these warnings.

Hire of Cake Stands and Bases

The hire of cake stands and bases are free of charge if returned within 7 days of delivery or collection if returned undamaged. An additional charge of £25 per week will apply to cake stand and bases which have not been returned.

Complaints:
If you feel that your order is unsatisfactory, that we have made a mistake or have any other complaint then please feel free to contact us in writing tor email info@specialdayscakes.com. Address your enquiry to Michael Burns, and we will endeavour to solve the problem. Customer complaints must be made in writing within 4 days of order delivery or collection.

We will respond to all complaints within one working day, usually the same day, and aim to resolve all complaints within two working days. Any customer details passed to use are kept confidential and you will be kept informed of the complaint process.
